After completing her degree in English Literature and Drama at the University of Sussex, Francesca went on to study Acting at Drama Studio London. She works as a professional actor alongside her work for Turn of Phrase and has amongst her theatre credits Lucy Steele in a UK tour of ‘Sense and Sensibility’, Enid in ‘Mr Kolpert’ for the Edinburgh Fringe, Judith in ‘The Possibilities’ and Ingrid in ‘Blavatsky’s Tower’. She also studies Counselling and incorporates Psychotherapy work, particularly Transactional Analysis, into the workshops for Turn of Phrase. These theories are used to to explore the motivations behind public speaking anxiety, communication breakdown within group settings and how gender can affect the politics of discussion and debate. Francesca also has experience as a teacher and is passionate about ensuring that adults have the potential to unlock their ability to communicate with eloquence and impact. She has experience in training medical professionals and business people both individually and in group settings.
