Turn of Phrase are an extraordinarily professional, friendly and talented company to work with. They have a keen understanding of the challenges faced when trying to engage Year 9 pupils with Shakespeare, and ultimately to help them perform it with confidence and creativity. This is the second year that we have invited them to work with our students, and both times they have created an entirely bespoke week of workshops to suit our needs. We recommend them unreservedly to all, and look forward to working with them again.

Turn of Phrase offer brilliant and perceptive teachers. The workshop leader was great at bringing out the best performances from individuals and groups. I found his reflections and insights on my own style and performance really helpful – leaving me encouraged in my strengths yet with a set of good tools to develop.

Tim ran a series of one-on-one workshops with my team Community Organisers, culminating in a group workshop for the team to practise presentation, public speaking and training delivery skills. The feedback from them has been fantastic. They have gained confidence and a range of new skills which have enhanced their abilities as trainers. The following week, we ran an intensive training weekend for 40 international political delegates. Turn of Phrase’s work had a real impact in making this event a success.

Turn of Phrase help you find the voice to engage and interest your audience. They are particularly good at working with women who regularly address a sea of suits and guide you towards an eloquence, clarity and pitch that is hugely impressive.

The workshop was fun, interesting, and most importantly of all, extremely useful. I picked up some great techniques on improving my public speaking and have noticed a difference in my performance from taking on board the advice I got in the workshop

The workshop with Turn of Phrase really helped us gain confidence as speakers, and helped us explore a variety of possibilities in our script, freed us up physically and got the team more connected on a personal level. The whole experience was fun and had lots of positive energy.
